Investigators at University of Pisa Discuss Research in Algorithms
2012 APR 24 - (VerticalNews.com) -- According to the authors of a study from Pisa, Italy, "The aim of this paper is to propose a solution algorithm for a particular class of rank-two nonconvex programs having a polyhedral feasible region." "The algorithm is based on the so-called 'optimal level solutions' method," wrote R. Cambini and colleagues, University of Pisa. The researchers concluded: "Various global optimality conditions are discussed and implemented in order to improve the efficiency of the algorithm." Cambini and colleagues published their study in the Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics (A parametric approach for solving a class of generalized quadratic-transformable rank-two nonconvex programs. Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, 2012;236(10):2685-2695). For more information, contact R. Cambini, University of Pisa, Fac Econ, Dept. of Stat & Appl Math, I-56124 Pisa, Italy.
